Meg Ryan
Meg Ryan is a blonde-haired blue-eyed woman with a vivacious personality. Meg Ryan was born Margaret Mary Emily Hyra to Susan (Duggan) who was who was an English teacher and a former actor. Harry Hyra was a math teacher. Her family heritage includes Ruthenian, Polish and Irish and German. ("Hyra") is her Ruthenian surname, and "Ryan", is her maternal grandmother's maiden name. Meg was graduated in June 1979 Bethel high school, Bethel. Meg moved to New York and majored as a journalist at New York University. Meg Ryan was her new name, began acting to earn extra cash as she finished her education. Her screen debut came in 1981, with a brief appearance as Candice Bergen's daughter in George Cukor's final film Rich and Famous (1981). She was a candidate for auditions and was chosen to play Betsy in the daily TV soap as the World turns (1956). From 1982 until 1984, she was a part of the show's cast. Meg was also a part of the television series One of the Boys (1982) that was later ended. Meg moved to Hollywood in 1984, and was offered an offer to appear on the western-themed television show Wildside (1985). Meg had a small role in Top Gun (1986), which led to her being cast in Steven Spielberg's Innerspace (1987) in which she co-starred with Dennis Quaid. For the remake of D.O.A., she starred again with Dennis Quaid. (1988) They got wed on Saint Valentine's Day 1991. Meg was in 1989's When Harry Met Sally... (1989), and the restaurant scene was made famous. Meg was nominated both for the Golden Globe as well as the BAFTA. In 1990, she co-starred with Tom Hanks in Joe Versus the Volcano (1990) and this time she played three roles as DeDe/Angelica/Patricia. In 1993, she co-starred alongside Tom in Sleepless in Seattle (1993) and was again nominated for the Golden Globe. Meg chose to stand out from the norm in 1994 when she played the part of Meg's drunken wife and motherin "When a Man Loves a Woman" (1994). Meg returned to being "cute" following that film with I.Q. (1994) as well as French Kiss (1996). People Magazine voted Meg as one of the top 50 beautiful women in the world in 1994.
