Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born 18 November 1985 in Los Angeles. The father of the child, Paul Felix is an ordained Minister of the Master's Seminary, Sun Valley. As for her mother, Marlean Felix is a teacher at Balboa Magnet Primary School. Felix was an athletically inclined child and discovered her love for sprinting at Los Angeles Baptist High School. She finished second in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks after her very first tryout. Felix graduated from high school and signed an official contract with Adidas. In 2004 she was enrolled at the University of Southern California, which is where she studied elementary education. The first Olympic medal came during the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the world junior record by the 200m race in 22.18 seconds. Felix was also the youngest participant in the 200-meter race at the World Championships that took place in Helsinki in the year 2005. She defended her title the following year, defeating time-tested Jamaican opponent Veronica Campbell. Felix had a steady performance in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, and Tokyo. She always finished in the top three of the events.
